Adding to the Bernat Barnyard of squish!

I've always loved making amigurumi, but the tiny fiddly piece wasn't my fave. So I'm loving coming up with all these squishes using jumbo Bernat Blanket and Bernat Blanket O'Go! Big enough to cuddle and squeeze, the entire series works up quickly. The Pig was a reader request - what animal would you like to see next?

Pig Squish - free crochet pattern on Moogly

Cute and Cuddly for Kids and Adults

This crochet pig pillow is fun to make - and squeeze! I used safety eyes, but this pattern has not been tested for safety for children under 3 years of age. If you are crocheting it for a baby or toddler, you may wish to embroider on the face and make sure that the pieces are sewn on quite securely. If using it as a photo prop, be sure not to leave the toy with a baby unattended.

All the Colors You Need in Bernat Blanket O'Go

I love using Bernat Blanket for my large amigurumi squishes, but this one called for lots of colors - so it was Bernat Blanket O'Go to the rescue! I was able to use bits of three skeins, and I have some great bits left over to use for other projects. This specific yarn is discontinued - please substitute standard Bernat Blanket in the colors you like!

And of course, Fairfield provided the Fiberfill to stuff him with! Fiberfill is perfect for all sorts of stuffed projects!

    Make One... or Dozens!

The Little Monstera Teething Ring uses only 9 grams of yarn, which means you can get 7 out of each skein of Lily Sugar'n Cream! In 10 rows, you'll have a finished project, so you might run through that skein in an evening. This means that this pattern is great not only for quick gifts but also for craft fairs! Like all Moogly patterns, you are welcome to sell your finished items - and I think that this Monstera-themed teether has a lot of potential.

    Easily Washable Cotton

While my kids moved past the teething stage a while ago, I do remember those days - and all the drool! So, besides being cute, I designed the Little Monstera Teething Ring to be practical. The leaf is 100% cotton, so it's absorbent. Yet it's thin, so it can be used as a little washcloth (or get chewed on directly!) and still dry quickly. And best of all, you can remove it from the wooden ring to machine wash and dry it whenever needed!

    Featuring Tunisian Lace

I love the look of knitted lace, but somewhere in there I always get lost and frustrated. But Tunisian lace is a different story! After each return pass, you're back to one loop - making frogging a whole lot easier, if and when needed. It still takes a bit of practice, but I do think the frustration level is lower - and the satisfaction level is off the charts!

    Elmore Ring Bag WIP

    And Bernat Softee Cotton!

For this pattern, I used Bernat Softee Cotton, a super-soft yarn with a gorgeous array of colors and a summery feel. But I do think this pattern will work with just about any yarn you have on the shelf! Since it's a one-skein pattern, you've got lots of options!
