Block #16:

Pathways Square

Above is her square, made in 2 colors. Below is my CAL square, in my 6 colors!

The Details

My Notes: This pattern takes some time, but offers so many possibilities for finishing! There are some fun textured stitches built onto basic grannies - and lots of color options too.

Helpful Links and Tutorials: Magic Circle,  Chainless Starting Double Crochet in Magic Circle, Standing Single Crochet, BLO - Back Loop Only, and Seamless Finishing.

Sizing: I got to 12" after Rnd 10, so I just left off Rnd 11. However, everyone's gauge and tension levels are different so be sure to measure as you go. Learn how to adjust for size HERE to make sure all your squares are the same size. Remember that the 12″ is measured across and up and down – not diagonally corner to corner.

What I Did: I used a Furls US-J, 6.0 mm hook, and Red Heart With Love, and my color scheme was as follows (see pics for more info on placement):

Color B: Pewter
Square 1 A: Tangerine
Square 2 A: Cornsilk
Square 3 A: Lettuce
Square 4 A: Iced Aqua
Rows/Rnds 6, 7, 9: White
(Rnd 11 skipped for size)

This square required minimal blocking. I used the wet blocking method, or you could use light steam.
