Park Lane Shawl - Part 1

US – I, 5.5mm hook - Furls

950 yds Red Heart Hygge Charm (4 – Medium/UK: 10-12 ply; 98 g/7 oz, 395 meters/432 yards)
Color A: Starlight – 2 balls (600 yds)
Color B: Shooting Star – 1 ball (350 yds)

Gauge: 14 sts x 8 rows = 4”/10cm in dc

Size: 52” x 32” x 61”

SCHEMATIC:

SPECIAL STITCHES

bobble - (dc4tog in the same st): yo and insert hook in indicated st, yo and pull up a loop, yo and pull through 2 loops (2 loops rem on hook), yo and insert hook in same st, yo and pull up a loop, yo and pull through 2 loops (3 loops rem on hook), yo and insert hook in same st, yo and pull up a loop, yo and pull through 2 loops (4 loops rem on hook), yo and insert hook in same st, yo and pull up a loop, yo and pull through 2 loops (5 loops rem on hook), yo and pull through all 5 loops to finish st.

NOTES

If you prefer to avoid CSDC, you can ch 3 or use your favorite CSDC substitute.

INSTRUCTIONS - PART 1

Row 1 (WS): With Color A, ch 2, 2 dc in first ch made; turn. (2 sts)

Row 2 (RS): CSDC in first st, 2 dc in last st; turn. (3 sts)

Row 3: (CSDC, dc) in first st, dc in next 2 sts; turn. (4 sts)

Row 4: CSDC in first st, dc in each rem st across until 1 st rem, 2 dc in last st; turn. (5 sts)

Row 5: (CSDC, dc) in first st, dc in each rem st across; turn. (6 sts)

Row 6 – 19: Rep Rows 4 and 5. (20 sts)

Row 20: FLO CSDC in first st, flo dc in each rem st across until 1 st rem, 2 flo dc in last st; turn. (21 sts)

Row 21: Sc in first unused loop of Row 19 and first st of Row 20, sc in same loop of Row 19 and next st of Row 20, *sc in next unused loop of Row 19 and next st of Row 20; rep from * across finishing last st with Color B, turn.

Row 22 and 23: With Color B, rep Rows 20 and 21, finishing last st with Color A. (22 sts)

Row 24 and 25: With Color A, rep Rows 20 and 21. (23 sts)

Row 26: Rep Row 4. (24 sts)

Row 27: Ch 1, (sc, bobble) in first st, sc in next st, *bobble in next st, sc in next st; rep from * across finishing last st with Color B, turn. (25 sts)

Row 28: With Color B, rep Row 4. (26 sts)

Row 29: Rep Row 27 finishing last st with Color A; break Color B. (27 sts)

Row 30: With Color A, rep Row 4. (28 sts)

Row 31: Rep Row 27, do not change color. (29 sts)

Row 32 – 43: Rep Rows 4 and 5. (41 sts)

Row 44 – 49: Rep Rows 20 – 25, finishing last st with Color B. (44 sts)

Row 50 and 51: With Color B, rep Rows 20 and 21, finishing last st with Color A. (45 sts)

Row 52: With Color A, rep Row 4. (46 sts)

Row 53: Rep Row 27, finishing last st with Color B. (47 sts)

Row 54: With Color B, rep Row 4. (48 sts)

Row 55: Rep Row 27, finishing last st with Color A. (49 sts)

Row 56 – 59: Rep Rows 52 – 55. (53 sts)

Row 60 – 69: With Color A, rep Rows 4 and 5, finishing last st with Color B. (63 sts) (Do not break yarns.)
