Featuring Red Heart Croquette
The New Moon Wrap is made with Red Heart Croquette! It's a sparkly super fine yarn, and you might have spotted these cute little cakes on your last shopping trip! It comes in 11 pretty colorways, and I've used Titanium for this project. It's also discontinued. See below for suggestions for substitutions!

The balls may look small, but as it's fingering weight yarn, each holds 239 yards. Only four are needed to make this lovely shawl, and as it's 92% cotton, it's comfy to wear year-round!

Add a Little Bling - or Don't!
You can make the New Moon Wrap with just yarn and hook - but if you want a little extra sparkle, you can add beads to the final edging! I have a tutorial on how to add beads as you go - no pre-stringing! - and it's easier than you might think!

Easy Crochet Lace
The New Moon Wrap features a 6-row repeat that creates this open and lacy stitch pattern. The holes
created in the lace make this shawl so breezy - and inspired the name too!
If you'd like a longer or shorter wrap, just stop after a Row 10 rep when you have the length desired. If you would prefer a wider or narrower wrap (or perhaps a pretty lace scarf!), you can add or subtract any multiple of 12 to the first row!

Featuring Red Heart Roll With It Tweed
The Cinch Stripes Backpack is made with just one cake of Red Heart Roll With It Tweed! I love the subtle striping in the colorway I chose, but there are lots of gorgeous ones to choose from, and each will give a different effect! It's a great worsted/medium weight yarn, and every skein is a little unique.

A Study in HDC
This pattern features a few different ways to use the half double crochet stitch - including a couple of variations I came up with myself - though I wouldn't be surprised to find they are already out there, I haven't found them.
The first one is new to this pattern - I'm calling it the deep hdc. You make this one by simply inserting the hook under the horizontal bar in the front of the stitch as well as the usual two top loops. This stitch makes up the base of the Cinch Stripes Backpack!

The next hdc variation used is the side split hdc. I first used this stitch in the Sherbet Stripes Tote - another one skein Roll With It Tweed pattern! This stitch inserts the hook behind the left vertical bar of the stitch, and then on through to the back of the fabric. Similar to a Tunisian stitch in form, it's still worked just one stitch at a time!

In the Cinch Stripes Backpack, I've combined these two hdc stitches with stripes made with the hdc in the 3rd loop! This is the horizontal bar on the back of the stitch, and working here pushes the top two loops of the stitch you're working into forward, for yet another great look!

Create Your Own Cinch Stripes Backpack
Mix this pattern up to make it your own! Choose your own yarn colorway, use different ropes or ribbons - or even crochet your own! Add or subtract rows as desired too - this pattern is so flexible, and I can't wait to see how you customize yours!
