The New Moon Wrap is a light, delicate, and sparkly shawl full of crochet lace! Optional beading adds even more interest, and in cottony Red Heart Croquette it's a joy to wear and show off!

Featuring Red Heart Croquette
The New Moon Wrap is made with Red Heart Croquette! It's a sparkly super fine yarn, and you might have spotted these cute little cakes on your last shopping trip! It comes in 11 pretty colorways, and I've used Titanium for this project.
The balls may look small, but as it's fingering weight yarn, each holds 239 yards. Only four are needed to make this lovely shawl, and as it's 92% cotton, it's comfy to wear year-round!
Add a Little Bling - or Don't!
You can make the New Moon Wrap with just yarn and hook - but if you want a little extra sparkle, you can add beads to the final edging! I have a tutorial on how to add beads as you go - no pre-stringing! - and it's easier than you might think!
Easy Crochet Lace
The New Moon Wrap features a 6-row repeat that creates this open and lacy stitch pattern. The holes created in the lace make this shawl so breezy - and inspired the name too!
If you'd like a longer or shorter wrap, just stop after a Row 10 rep when you have the length desired. If you would prefer a wider or narrower wrap (or perhaps a pretty lace scarf!), you can add or subtract any multiple of 12 to the first row!

About how many yards for the edging alone would you say?
Tamara Kelly
I'm sorry, I didn't really keep track of it that way and it's been so long since I've made it I don't recall.
