My Notes: This block was adapted from a pattern Kirsten designed this year for the Wedding Blanket CAL. Please be sure to read all the notes thoroughly! This pattern looks complicated, and it does take some concentration, but it’s a lot of fun and very well written!
Helpful Links and Tutorials: Crochet Abbreviations; Magic Circle; Front and Back Loop Only; Standing Double Crochet; Seamless Finishing
Sizing: I got 12″ with this pattern as written. But remember, everyone’s gauge and tension level are different so be sure to measure as you go. Learn how to adjust for size HERE to make sure all your squares are the same size. Remember that the 12″ is measured across and up and down – not diagonally corner to corner.
What I Did: I used a Furls US-J, 6.0 mm hook and Red Heart With Love, and my color scheme was as follows: Rnd 1: Bluebell, Rnd 2: Navy, Rnd 3 – 5: True Blue, Rnd 6: White and Navy, Rnd 7: White, Bluebell and Navy, Rnd 8 and 9: White and Bluebell, Rnd 10: White, Rnd 11: White and True Blue, Rnd 12: White, Rnd 13: White and Navy, Rnd 14: White and Bluebell, Rnd 15: White; Rnd 16: White.
This square benefited from a very mild blocking. To block this square, I used the wet blocking method and a Chetnanigans BlocksAll Ultra blocking board and Perfecting Strips.
