Block #6:
Parapet Block
by Hooked for Life
Above is the original made in 3 colors! Below, you can see my version, made with my 4 colors!
The Details:
My Notes: This pattern is fun and easy to crochet, with easy to understand instructions. However, because of the construction, I caution you to check the width of your square after the first 2-3 rows. If it’s already at 12″, then you will want to go down a hook size so that you have room for the final border round. If it’s much smaller than 11″, you may wish to go up a hook size.

Sizing: Please see My Notes above to check your sizing for this square. To get to 12″, I had to add just one additional round of sc. But everyone’s gauge and tension level are different so be sure to measure as you go and check your gauge. Learn how to adjust for size HERE to make sure all your squares are the same size. Remember that the 12″ is measured across and up and down – not diagonally corner to corner.
What I Did: I used a Furls US-J, 6.0 mm hook and Red Heart With Love, and my color scheme was as follows: Color A: White; Contrast Color Stripes followed this pattern: Bluebell, True Blue, True Blue, Navy, Navy, True Blue, True Blue, Bluebell.
This square benefited from just a light bit of blocking. To block this square, I used the wet blocking method and a Chetnanigans BlocksAll Ultra blocking board and Perfecting Strips.
