Block #14:
Garden Party Square

The Details
My Notes: This pattern includes video tutorials to help with each section! It is a light and lacy square, and works up quickly.
Helpful Links and Tutorials: Crochet Abbreviations; Chainless Starting Double Crochet; Standing Double Crochet; Standing Half Double Crochet; Standing Single Crochet; Seamless Finishing
Sizing: When making my square, it was coming out a bit large, so for Rnd 7 I worked sc sts instead of clusters and only ch-3 instead of ch-5, and from there it worked out to 12". Remember, everyone's gauge and tension level are different so be sure to measure as you go. Learn how to adjust for size HERE to make sure all your squares are the same size. Remember that the 12″ is measured across and up and down – not diagonally corner to corner.
What I Did: I used a Furls US-J, 6.0 mm hook and Red Heart With Love, and my color scheme was as follows: Rnd 1-2: Bluebell, Rnd 3: True Blue, Rnd 4-5: Navy, Rnd 6: White, Rnd 7-8: Navy, Rnd 9: True Blue, Rnd 10: Bluebell, Rnd 11: White.
This square benefited from a moderate blocking. To block this square, I used the wet blocking method and a Chetnanigans BlocksAll Ultra blocking board and Perfecting Strips.
