Block #13:
Center Circle Square
by The Purple Poncho
Above is the original made in 5 colors! Below, you can see my version, made with my 4 colors!
The Details
My Notes: This pattern is a quick and easy one, with a bunch of clever texture! Great for a relaxing evening! Note that her alt dc is the same as my Chainless Starting Double Crochet (tutorial linked below). I also do recommend using stitch markers for the turned rounds to help you keep track of the first and last stitch of each round.
Helpful Links and Tutorials: Crochet Abbreviations; Chainless Starting Double Crochet; Standing Double Crochet; Standing Half Double Crochet; Standing Single Crochet; Post Stitches; The Third Loop; Seamless Finishing
Sizing: When making my square, I was coming up just a little short after Rnd 10, so for Rnd 11 I made dc stitches instead of hdc, and from there it worked out to 12". Remember, everyone's gauge and tension level are different so be sure to measure as you go. Learn how to adjust for size HERE to make sure all your squares are the same size. Remember that the 12″ is measured across and up and down – not diagonally corner to corner.
What I Did: I used a Furls US-J, 6.0 mm hook and Red Heart With Love, and my color scheme was as follows: Rnd 1-2: Navy, Rnd 3-4: True Blue, Rnd 5-6: Bluebell, Rnd 7-8, White, Rnd 9: Navy, Rnd 10: True Blue, Rnd 11: Bluebell, and Rnd 12: White.
This square benefited from a light blocking. To block this square, I used the wet blocking method and a Chetnanigans BlocksAll Ultra blocking board and Perfecting Strips.

I am excited to start this new square. Unfortunately, it won’t work with printfriendly. Any words of advise?

Linda - try copy and paste to a word document. That worked for me. Good Luck and have a great weekend

There are a few options - it does work with the Print Friendly browser extension, or you can copy and paste to a doc as Janice mentions! 🙂
