The Details
My Notes: This block is a great one to make in an evening! Lindsey is also a professional tech editor, so her pattern is wonderfully written and easy to follow as well.
Helpful Links and Tutorials: Crochet Abbreviations; Magic Circle; BLO - Back Loop Only; Seamless Finishing
Sizing: My square got to 12" after Rnd 11, so stopped there. But remember, everyone's gauge and tension level are different so be sure to measure as you go. Learn how to adjust for size HERE to make sure all your squares are the same size. Remember that the 12″ is measured across and up and down – not diagonally corner to corner.
What I Did: I used a Furls US-J, 6.0 mm hook and Red Heart With Love, and my color scheme was as follows: Rnd 1-3: White, Rnd 4-5: Bluebell, Rnd 6: True Blue, Rnd 7-9: Navy, Rnd 10-11: White (Rnd 12 eliminated for size).
This square benefited from a moderate blocking. To block this square, I used the wet blocking method and a Chetnanigans BlocksAll Ultra blocking board and Perfecting Strips.
