Block #20:
Convergence Square
by Stitches n Scraps
Above is her square, in 3 colors. Below is my CAL square, in my 6 colors!
The Details
My Notes: Pia's square includes lots of great photos and tutorial links - be sure to read through them all! This pattern goes together in an
Helpful Links and Tutorials: Chainless Starting Double Crochet, Puff Stitches, Post Stitches, Working into the Edge, and Seamless Finishing.
Sizing: I got to 12 inches as written, but everyone's gauge is different so be sure to measure as you go! Learn how to adjust for size HERE to make sure all your squares are the same size. Remember that the 12″ is measured across and up and down – not diagonally corner to corner.
What I Did: I used a Furls US-J, 6.0 mm hook, and Red Heart With Love, and my color scheme was as follows (see pics for more info on placement):
First Triangle
Rows 1 - 6: Tangerine
Rows 7 - 10: Cornsilk
Rows 11 - 13: White
Second Triangle
Rows 1 - 6: Lettuce
Rows 7 - 10: Iced Aqua
Rows 11 - 13: White
Joining: White
Border Rnd 1 and 2: White
Border Rnd 3 - 5: Pewter
This square required very mild blocking. I used the wet blocking method, or you could use light steam.
