Block #20:
Sintra 12" Square
by Pattern Paradise
Above are the originals, made with 1 or 2 colors of With Love. Below is my version, made in my 4 colors of With Love!
The Details
My Notes: This block only uses a few stitches - but that doesn't mean it's easy! Be sure to read through all the notes before you begin. And be extra sure to take your time and read through each row, one step at a time. With Maria's color coding and photos, you can do it! My tip - keep your post sts a little looser if you're normally a tight crocheter.

Sizing: My square was coming out just a tiny bit big, so I stopped after Rnd 14. But remember, everyone's gauge and tension level are different so be sure to measure as you go. Learn how to adjust for size HERE to make sure all your squares are the same size. Remember that the 12″ is measured across and up and down – not diagonally corner to corner.
What I Did: I used a Furls US-J, 6.0 mm hook and Red Heart With Love, and my color scheme was as follows:
Color 1, Rnd 1 - 5: White
Color 1, Rnd 6 - 9: Lilac
Color 1, Rnd 10 - 13: Aubergine
Color 2: Light Gray
This square benefited from a moderate blocking. To block this square, I used the wet blocking method and a Chetnanigans BlocksAll Ultra blocking board and Perfecting Strips.

I don't see a way to pin this to pinterest where I have saved all the other squares.

Is there a tutorial for this square. I am not understanding how to carry the color 1 in order to do the front post doubles (or am I supposed to fasten off after each one). This square is totally confusing to me. Or is it a color change for each one? Maybe that is it. I will continue to try, I really like the look of the square.

With post stitches it's a lot trickier. You can catch the unused color inside the non-post stitches, but I also tend to sort of weave the unused yarn around the back post sts as well - and sometimes it just floats along the back too. I showed the back of my square on today's live, right near the beginning: https://www.mooglyblog.com/live-october-13-2020/
