Broomstick Lace

Broomstick Lace, aka Jiffy Lace, is one of those things that I avoided for far too long. Sure, it’s pretty, I thought, but it’s got to be hard. Well I was absolutely delighted to sit down one day and discover it’s super easy! And now it’s one of my favorite things to crochet. Here’s how I do it:

You can use this technique for clothes, blankets, whatever you like, though I don’t recommend it for a potholder. The Baby In Bloom Sweater and Bonnet both use broomstick lace, and I can’t wait to design more crochet patterns with this stitch.
