    Is Lenny in the Room?

In the world of crochet, the scarf stands as a timeless accessory, effortlessly combining style and functionality. However, for those seeking a touch of uniqueness and a cozy embrace, this large crocheted checked scarf is the must-try project this season. The super scarf trend started with Mr. Kravitz's extraordinary brown muffler, but there's a lot to recommend them! A giant scarf is perfect for looking chic and staying warm this winter. Wrap it up in any style you like - there's enough fabric here to let you wear it however you like, and look great doing it. And it's a scarf - so if you want it longer or shorter, it's easy to adjust for a custom fit!

    NOTES:

To create the color layout shown, please see the yarn list above to see which end of the skein to pull from in each color. For other colors, you'll need to decide which end to pull from to get the look desired.

If you would prefer to not use the FDC stitch, you can instead work Row 1 as follows: With Color C ch 11, with Color B ch 11, with Color A ch 13, skip the 3 chs closest to the hook (counts as first dc), dc in next 10 chs, with Color B dc in next 11 chs, with Color C dc in last 11 chs; turn. (33 sts)

If you would prefer to not use the CSDC and/or STDC stitch, you can use a ch 3 or dc substitute of your choice.

When switching colors, finish the last st of the previous st with the new color.

This pattern is worked with 3 colors in each row. Leave each color hanging from its last stitch unless otherwise instructed, and pick it back up for that color in the next row.

Be sure to weave in all ends into the same colored stitches.

To change the length of the scarf, simply eliminate or add 6-row stripe sections as desired.

To change the width, use a larger or smaller number of stitches, divisible by 3.
