Unlimited Color with Bernat Lattice
To crochet the Rainbow Lattice Wrap, I used new Bernat Lattice yarn - to create a latticework design! A little on the nose, but that was truly just a funny coincidence. I wanted to make something airy and lacey, but full of color. This yarn has dimension and depth, with shade and texture variations throughout each colorway. The pink one makes me think of my favorite dark cherry shake, and the blue is like the perfect spring sky, if it were turned into candy.

With all that texture and a fiber mix of 54% polyester, 28% acrylic, and 18% nylon, experienced stitchers might expect this yarn to be a little rough here and there - but I'm so pleased to say that is not the case. Bernat Lattice is delightfully soft, warm, and wonderful to touch. I took it with me on a recent trip, and saw it capture the imagination of everyone I showed it to!

Mother's Day? Birthdays? Holidays? That's a Wrap!
There's always a new holiday or celebration to look forward to - and that can mean it's time for gifting! The Rainbow Lattice Wrap is the perfect pattern for gifting (and keeping, of course). A simple stitch repeat on Row 1 lets you make it as long or as short as you'd like. Then, you just keep adding rows in pattern to make it as wide or tall as you need - scarf, wrap, or blanket - it's up to you!

I used a total of 6 colors to make my version, but you can customize yours by using one color - or dozens! Indeed, this pattern would be an *amazing* stash buster. But this means lots of ends... so I've turned those ends into the fringe! That's right, this pattern has not one single end for you to weave in, which means you can go color crazy!

NOTES:
In this pattern, the yarn is cut after EVERY row, no matter how many colors are used.
ALWAYS leave an 8-inch tail at the beginning AND end of each row, unless you intend to weave them in.
TO CUSTOMIZE THE SIZE: To add length to the wrap, repeat the Row 1 "[ch 9, FSC 5]" repeat as many times as desired. To make the wrap wider, simply repeat Rows 2 - 7 as many times as desired, ending on a Row 6 repeat.
Note that the length "shrinks up" a LOT as you crochet additional rows and the lace pattern appears. Row 1 will be significantly longer than the finished wrap. This fabric had a lot of movement and stretch to it, in both dimensions.
If you are determined to avoid the FSC stitch, you would need to just ch 111 for Row 1. Then, in Row 2, work into the chains instead of stitches. Be sure to mark the chains that would have had stitches worked into them with stitch markers, so you know where to work Row 2.

hi Tamara ,
for Row 1 of the Rainbow lattice wrap states With first color (A), FSC 3, [ch 9, FSC 5] 21 times, ch 9, FSC 3; break yarn and turn. (111 sc)
can you please give the stitches breakdown without using foundation single crochet for Row 1 so the stitch count is correct. thank you
Tamara Kelly says
Hi Kathy! To avoid using Foundation Single Crochet for this pattern, you'd have to ch 111 and then count out the chains to skip and work into the chains themselves in Row 2.

How can I get a PDF without going to Ravelry?
Tamara Kelly says
I am working on adding my patterns to Etsy, but right now Ravelry is the only place I have this one available for sale. Is there another site you like to use particularly?

Hi Tamara. By chance is there a graph of symbols ? I could probably figure it out but it’s so much easier for me. Thank you !!
Tamara Kelly says
Hi Carol! I'm afraid I don't have a chart, but I do have a video tutorial! https://www.mooglyblog.com/rainbow-lattice-wrap-tutorial/

Lovely pattern. Easy to follow. I made mine in beachy colors. It was so fun and turned out so nice I'm thinking of making some more as Christmas presents in different colours.

Thank you so much, Bex!
