My Notes: Some days I wonder if you mapped Jennifer's brain, would it be a giant Celtic knot? Every year she creates designs with these loops of fabric that are simple, yet so so stunning. This year's square calls for lots of stitch markers - and I do recommend you use them! If you've made Jennifer's squares in past years, you might not need the cork board - but if you're new to them, I do recommend that or a blocking board to help you get things woven together. One thing that helps me is to remember that each cord goes over, then under, then over, then under... etc. If each is doing that, you're probably on track!
Getting the right size with this pattern is easy - there are several rounds of stitches that square up the design, so you can adjust the last one or two to get right to 12" as needed.

Sizing: My square was coming out just a little bit big, so I worked Knot Edging Rnd 4 as hdc, then finished with Rnd 5 as written! But everyone's gauge is different, so be sure to measure as you go! Learn how to adjust for size HERE to ensure all your squares are the same size. Remember that the 12″ is measured across and up and down, not diagonally/corner to corner.
Yarn Options: This year, our designers have chosen from a variety of yarns, including Brava Worsted, Swish Worsted, Jimmy Beans Wool Beanstalk, Berroco Vintage, and MadTosh Vintage. For this square, Jennifer and I both used Brava Worsted!
What I Did:
I used a US-J, 6.0 mm crochet hook, and Brava Worsted yarn, and my color scheme was as follows (see pics for more info on placement):
Cord 1: Seashell with Cream Edging
Cord 2: Denim with Cream Edging
Cord 3: Custard with Cream Edging
Knot Edging Rnds 1 - 3: Fig
Knot Edging Rnd 4: Espresso
Knot Edging Rnd 5: Cream
Center Small Motif: Fig
This square benefited from wet blocking.
