My Notes: The Endless Griddle Stitch Square is a simple, beginner-friendly square, IF you use one extra tool - stitch markers! While making this square, I recommend you have a total of seven stitch markers handy. Use four of them to mark the corners, use two to mark the first and last st of each rnd, and one more to hold your active loop open if you need to put your work down. The corner style alternates and you'll need to have the corner stitches marked to help you find them.
Additionally, you'll want to mark the first and last stitch of each round, as this square is worked in turned rounds - and this keeps you from accidentally working into the slip stitch! Once you've got all your stitch markers this square is smooth sailing, and it's super easy to adjust for size!

Sizing: My square was running a little small, so I worked added a Round 16 in the same griddle pattern, and then worked Rnd 17 as the Last Rnd. But everyone's gauge is different, so be sure to measure as you go! Learn how to adjust for size HERE to ensure all your squares are the same size. Remember that the 12″ is measured across and up and down, not diagonally/corner to corner.
Yarn Options: This year, our designers have chosen from a variety of yarns, including Brava Worsted, Swish Worsted, Jimmy Beans Wool Beanstalk, Berroco Vintage, and MadTosh Vintage. For this square, I used Brava Worsted, and Rhondda did the same!
What I Did:
I used a US-J, 6.0 mm crochet hook, and Brava Worsted yarn, and my color scheme was as follows (see pics for more info on placement):
Rnds 1 - 3: Espresso
Rnds 4 - 6: Denim
Rnds 7 - 9: Fig
Rnds 10 - 12: Custard
Rnds 13 and 14: Seashell
Rnds 15 - 17: Cream
This square didn't really require any blocking, but I used the wet blocking method to remove a seam I accidentally put in there when I had to stuff it in a suitcase!
