Block #21:
Touch of Love Afghan Square
by Mamas2Hands
Above is her square, made in three different and equally amazing versions! Below is my square, in my 4 colors!
The Details
My Notes:Â This pattern is made in turned rounds – you’ll still join with a slip stitch, but then every other row is worked from the back of the square. I strongly recommend using stitch markers – mark the first and last stitch of each round to avoid working into the slip stitch or starting in the wrong spot. This pattern does require a bit of concentration – be ready to pay attention as you go!

Sizing: My square was coming out a bit big, so I eliminated Rnd 20 and got to the right size. But everyone’s gauge and tension level are different so be sure to measure as you go. Learn how to adjust for size HERE to make sure all your squares are the same size. Remember that the 12″ is measured across and up and down – not diagonally corner to corner.
What I Did: I used a Furls US-J, 6.0 mm hook, and Red Heart With Love, and my color scheme was as follows:
Rnd 1-2:Â Eggshell
Rnd 3-17:Â Tangerine
Rnd 18: Eggshell
Rnd 19:Â Celtic
Rnd 20: skipped for size
Rnd 21: Lettuce
This square required minimal blocking! I used the wet blocking method, or you could use light steam.
