All Fool’s Day Square
by Carolyn Christmas on Pink Mambo
Above is the original, made with 4 colors of With Love. Below is my version, made in my 4 colors of With Love!
My Notes: This square features some fun and unexpected moves! There’s a gorgeous mix of stitches, and lots of options to help you get your perfect square – in the perfect size.

Sizing: Carolyn provides several options for the last round, so you’re sure to get just the right size. I ended up using the hdc option for Rnd 12. As a rule of thumb, if your square comes to about 11.5″, then go with the sc. If it’s 11″, go with the hdc, and if it’s any smaller, go with the dc.
Remember, everyone’s gauge and tension level are different so be sure to measure as you go. Learn how to adjust for size HERE to make sure all your squares are the same size. Remember that the 12″ is measured across and up and down – not diagonally corner to corner.
What I Did: I used a Furls US-J, 6.0 mm hook, and Red Heart With Love, and my color scheme was as follows:
Color A: Lettuce
Color B: Celtic
Color C: Tangerine
Color D: Eggshell
This square required minimal blocking! I used the wet blocking method, or you could use light steam.
