    The Details

My Notes: Don't let this one scare you! It looks a lot more complicated than it actually is. Reading through the special stitches is important, but the instructions are really well written - no matter when or if you choose to change colors. And there's a video tutorial to help too!

Helpful Links and Tutorials: Crochet Abbreviations; Magic Circle; Chainless Starting Double Crochet; Shallow Post Stitches; Standing Sc; Standing Hdc; Standing Dc; Seamless Finishing.

Sizing: I got to size as written, but everyone's gauge and tension level are different so be sure to measure as you go. Learn how to adjust for size HERE to make sure all your squares are the same size. Remember that the 12″ is measured across and up and down – not diagonally corner to corner.

What I Did: I used a Furls US-J, 6.0 mm hook and Red Heart With Love, and my color scheme was as follows:

    Rnd 1: Tangerine
    Rnd 2:
    Eggshell
    Rnd 3:
    Celtic
    Rnd 4:
    Tangerine
    Rnd 5:
    Lettuce
    Rnd 6:
    Celtic
    Rnd 7:
    Eggshell
    Rnd 8:
    Tangerine
    Rnd 9:
    Lettuce
    Rnd 10:
    Celtic
    Rnd 11:
    Eggshell
    Rnd 12:
    Lettuce

This square benefited from a light blocking. To block this square, I used the wet blocking method, or you could use light steam.

Am I the only one having trouble with block 3? I get to round 4 and the instructions do not line up with my stitches.

OK, nevermind. I wasn't getting all the chain 1 in round 3.
