This pattern uses only the easiest of stitches - but in a unique way! Be sure to print out the chart as well as the pattern for the cable placement. I found that it was also a good idea to keep a little tally of each row as I finished it so that I stayed on track in the pattern. You may notice that Marly and I did our cables slightly differently - and that's okay! You can do them however you like and make this square your own!

This pattern has a unique construction - and you can use the border round to get to size by adding another round or making taller stitches. I got to 12" without any alterations to the pattern. But everyone's gauge and tension level are different so be sure to measure as you go, and check your gauge. Learn how to adjust for size HERE to make sure all your squares are the same size. Remember that the 12″ is measured across and up and down – not diagonally corner to corner.
I used a Furls US-J, 6.0 mm hook and Red Heart With Love, and my color scheme was as follows – Main Pattern: Fruit Punch; Cables from right to left: Lettuce and Hot Pink, Tigerlily and Iced Aqua, Holly Berry and Lettuce, Hot Pink and Tigerlily, and Iced Aqua and Hot Pink.
This square benefited from a very light blocking. To block this square, I used the wet blocking method and a Chetnanigans BlocksAll Ultra blocking board.
