This pattern features some unique stitches, so be sure to check the Special Stitches section. The pattern is well written and easy to follow - and results in a really gorgeous square!

Techniques and tutorials you might find helpful: Crochet Abbreviations; Magic Ring; Dc5tog/Bobble; Join with dc; Join with hdc; Join with sc; Tr sts; Tall Stitches; Seamless finishing.

My square was just the tiniest big small, so I changed the final round to hdc instead of sc - and that got me to 12". But everyone's gauge and tension level are different so be sure to measure as you go, and check your gauge. Learn how to adjust for size HERE to make sure all your squares are the same size. Remember that the 12″ is measured across and up and down – not diagonally corner to corner.

I used a Furls US-J, 6.0 mm hook and Red Heart With Love, and my color scheme was as follows – Rnd 1-2: Holly Berry; Rnd 3: Tigerlily; Rnd 4: Lettuce; Rnd 5-6: Iced Aqua; Rnd 7: Hot Pink; Rnd 8: Holly Berry; Rnd 9: Tigerlily; Rnd 10: Lettuce; Rnd 11: Iced Aqua; Rnd 12: Hot Pink; Rnd 13: Holly Berry; Rnd 14: Tigerlily; Rnd 15: Fruit Punch.

This square benefited from a gentle blocking. To block this square, I used the wet blocking method and a Chetnanigans BlocksAll Ultra blocking board.
