    My Notes:

This pattern is free - CLICK HERE! It's a free Ravelry Download - you can print the PDF.

This pattern is very unique - be sure to read all the instructions carefully! Though it is worked from the outside in, you will go back to the outside for the last few rounds, so don't worry if that first round you make seems small.

Techniques and tutorials you might find helpful: Crochet Abbreviations; Crocodile Stitch; Picots

My square was coming out just a tiny bit big, so I reduced the last round from hdc to sc, and that did the trick! But everyone's gauge and tension level are different so be sure to measure as you go, and check your gauge. Learn how to adjust for size HERE to make sure all your squares are the same size. Remember that the 12″ is measured across and up and down – not diagonally corner to corner.

I used a Furls US-J, 6.0 mm hook and Red Heart With Love, and my color scheme was as follows – Rnd 1: Lettuce; Rnd 2: Iced Aqua; Rnd 3: Lettuce; Rnd 4: Holly Berry; Rnd 5: Lettuce; Rnd 6: Hot Pink; Rnd 7: Lettuce; Rnd 8: Tigerlily; Rnd 9: Lettuce; Rnd 10: Hot Pink; Center Flower: Holly Berry; E1 and E2: Lettuce; E3: Fruit Punch.

This square benefited from a very light blocking. To block this square, I used the wet blocking method and a Chetnanigans BlocksAll Ultra blocking board.

If you share your photos on social media, be sure to use the hashtag #mooglycal2018 and tag me @mooglyblog so I can see them too! Thank you all for CAL-ing with me!

Chetnanigans Blocking Boards make crochet squares better than ever!

Thanks so much for crocheting along with me! I can't wait to see all the beautiful blankets you crochet this year! Beautiful design and colors. I wonder if someone can tell me how to make a bigger version of this. In fact, I would like to make one to cover a queen-size bed. Any ideas? TIA.

Wow, okay! Most crocodile stitch blankets are worked in rows, but to start this one blanket sized, I'd use this method, and then do the math to figure out where to put the corners: https://www.mooglyblog.com/long-starting-chains-made-easy/

Sorry about this Terri, we're having to manually update all the hundreds of video codes on the site. I'll take care of this set right now!

Yes, her site crashed just this past week, but she has been in contact and is working hard to get it back up and running!
