This pattern is made of almost only single crochet - the excitement is in the color changes! This one takes a little bit of planning for your colors before you begin, but will look amazing in the finishing blanket - you can see a sneak peek of that in the pattern too! I recommend using butterfly bobbins to keep the multiple colors going and under control. I also recommend working 29 sts along the sides in the first round of edging - this means skipping 7 rows as you work.

My square was about 1" small, so adding one round of hdc brought it to 12". But everyone's gauge and tension level are different so be sure to measure as you go, and check your gauge. Learn how to adjust for size HERE to make sure all your squares are the same size. Remember that the 12″ is measured across and up and down – not diagonally corner to corner.
I used a Furls US-J, 6.0 mm hook and Red Heart With Love, and my color scheme was as follows – Color A: Tigerlily; Color B: Lettuce; Color C: Iced Aqua; Color D: Hot Pink; Surface Detail: Holly Berry; Edging: Fruit Punch.
This square benefited from a gentle blocking. To block this square, I used the wet blocking method and a Chetnanigans BlocksAll Ultra blocking board.
