Block #13:

Inez Floral Granny Square

Above you can see the square that Marie made, featuring 3 colors. Below is my CAL square, in my 3 colors! (I'm doing a stash buster, so these colors will change throughout the year. This is my first Evergreen one as I work through the rainbow!)

Details for MooglyCAL2024 Block 13

My Notes: The Inez Floral Granny Square features a ton of texture, and coordinates so beautifully with our other square so far this year! I did skip one round for size, and I've included that info below. With Marie's great step by step photos, I am sure we'll see a bunch of beautiful blocks in the group!

Helpful Links and Tutorials: Magic Circle, Bobble, Post Stitches, BLO (Back Loop Only), Chainless Starting Double Crochet, Standing Double Crochet, and seamless join.

Sizing: My square was getting a bit big, so I skipped Round 16 and worked Round 17 simply as back loop only single crochet. But everyone's gauge is different so be sure to measure as you go! Learn how to adjust for size HERE to make sure all your squares are the same size. Remember that the 12″ is measured across and up and down – not diagonally corner to corner.

What I Did:

I used a Susan Bates US-J, 6.0 mm Twist and Lock hook, and Red Heart With Love, and my color scheme was as follows (see pics for more info on placement):

Color A: White
Color B: Evergreen
Color C: Light Gray

This square required a mild blocking. I used the wet blocking method.
