Block #7:
Endless Afghan Square
by Oombawka Design

Above you can see the square that she made, featuring 3 colors. Below is my CAL square, in my 3 colors! (I'm doing a stash buster, so these colors will change throughout the year. This is my first Daffodil one as I work through the rainbow!)

The Details for MooglyCAL2024 Block 7
My Notes: The Endless Afgahn Square pattern is a lovely center out block that can just... keep on going! This means you can work to size, without any worries about gauge. Once I was a few rounds in, I had the hang of the pattern and just kept stitching to get to size.
I did make a change to the final round - I needed to skip the ch-2 sps, crocheting only into the sc sts, and working (sc, ch 2, sc) in each corner. Otherwise, I found that my edges started to ruffle up a bit. You might not have the same issue, but if you do, that's how I fixed it!
I followed the same color layout as Rhondda, but you can really change colors (or not) whenever you like! I can't wait to see all the wonderful variations you all come up with!
Helpful Links and Tutorials: Magic Circle (subbed for the ch 2 start), Join with SC (STSC), and... that's it! This one is mostly single crochet!
Sizing: My square was a bit small after Rnd 15, so I added an extra round in pattern, in White. But everyone's gauge is different so be sure to measure as you go! Learn how to adjust for size HERE to make sure all your squares are the same size. Remember that the 12″ is measured across and up and down – not diagonally corner to corner.
What I Did:
I used a Susan Bates US-J, 6.0 mm Twist and Lock hook, and Red Heart With Love, and my color scheme was as follows (see pics for more info on placement):
Color A: Light Gray
B: White
C: Daffodil
This square required a very mild blocking. I used the wet blocking method.

Within this post, the square is listed at #6 instead of #7. I just wanted to tell you in case you wanted to fix the page.
