Definitely a hat made from this yarn because most of our heat is lost from the top of our head. Also gloves. I hate wearing mittens because it doesn't allow my fingers to be used. But I don't know how to crochet gloves. So that would be great for a tutorial on that with this yarn because my hands are always cold. Thank you for all you do in our yarn world! My mom is always freezing in her apartment, and with winter coming up, she definitely could use the extra warmth-- especially when having to go outside. I'd totally be making a complete set of accessories and a cardigan for her to layer up in.

Hmm, a glove pattern or fingerless mitts/wristwarmers would be super cool! I always have cold hands, especially in winter, the extra warmth would be welcome!

I live in AZ not only do I think that this yarn would be great for cancerpatients but would be awesome for the field workers. The homeless if donated to then would be great. All could wear hats scarves mittens and the field workers wear bandanas to cover for insects chemicals and crop in general.

Hello, I have some of the heat wave yarn, and would like to make headbands with it, but I'm worried about the warning that said not to expose it to high frequencies. Headbands are worn around the ears. Would a cell phone put off high frequencies? What would be considered high frequency?

Hi Angela! I asked Yarnspirations about this when it first debuted, and cell phone frequencies shouldn't be an issue. It's very rare, very high frequencies that might be an issue - nothing we'd normally encounter, as far as I understand. 🙂
