I am looking for a crochet pattern for elfin or pixie slippers. The toe curls up and you put a bell at the end. I need a women's size 10 ( she is a tall child) and a youth size 3. I had a pattern years ago but lost it. Thank you
Tamara Kelly
Hi Michaeleen! I was only able to locate one free adult size pattern, and there's no picture, but the description fits: http://crochetpatternsonly.blogspot.com/2007/11/elf-slippers-womens.html
This is an adult paid pattern, very cute, that has the adult and child sizes! http://www.gourmetcrochet.com/index_files/Page5325.htm
And here is a paid pattern with instructions for custom sizing, in UK terms: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/elf-slippers-with-curled-toes
Hope one of those work for you!

So please help me. Thank you so much. I will be looking for a pattern hopefully on my email. Have a great day

Great motivation and awesome (free free free)patterns
Brooke
Very excited to make these as Christmas gifts for my kids. Is there a type of yarn that works best? Could I use sock yarn? Would regular acrylic or cotton yarn feel okay on the feet?
Tamara Kelly
Thanks Brooke! Wool is warmest, and has good stretch. But acrylic or cotton can work too, depending on the pattern!

Tamara Kelly
😀 Everybody loves cozy slippers (or they should)!
Annette
I am wanting to make the Pocahontas boot. Do you know of any yarns sold in a regular store across the U.S. that I can use in place of the Drops yarns?
Tamara Kelly
Hi Annette! I don't know of anything specifically, but I think a shaggy boucle type yarn would work. Maybe even Lion Brand Homespun? It's got some tweedy colors and lots of texture!
Barbara Christen
I am looking for easy men's slipper patterns, Can anyone help me out there. I did see a pattern where you used only the back loop i think after the first row. I didn't a get he pattern at that time. OI don't remember where I seen the pattern now either. I do think that these sights have some very nice patterns as well.
Tamara Kelly
Hi Barbara! There are lots of patterns on Ravelry - you might find what you're looking for there! 🙂

The teen high top pattern is no longer on the simplicity site. 🙁
Tamara Kelly
It does look like they've taken it down, however I was able to find a cached version of the page on the internet archives: http://web.archive.org/web/20150619220502/http://www.simplicity.com/t-free-crochet-project-High-Top-Sneaker-Slippers.aspx
Megan
These are great! Definitely going to make some for myself!
My boyfriend has really big feet though (size 17) and I'm having trouble finding a pattern that I like that would easily be changed to fit him... the felted pair, in Finnish of course, looks possible, but I'm having trouble deciphering google's translation. Do you know where I could find either that pattern in English, or a similar one?
Tamara Kelly
I have brothers with big feet too - I hear ya! Take a look a the comments on Ravelry - there's a human translation if you scroll down a bit: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/hissukka/comments
Amanda
How do you get the free pattern?
Tamara Kelly
Just click on the names of the patterns you like to go to their pattern pages! 🙂
Sherry
The second slipper says there’s an English translation in comments, comments where? In the pattern it states there is NO English translation , written in Finnish. Your comments here? Or on the pattern, not finding it. Thank you! It’s pattern numbered 2
Tamara Kelly
Hi Sherry! I wrote this list up in 2012, so it looks like she's removed it since then. I'll be sure to update my post. Thank you for letting me know!
Nat
Howdy! Thanks for the roundup! Thought I'd let ya know that pattern 5. Seaspray Slippers on Jay’s Boutique is no longer up, the link says the whole blog is gone. Just a head's up! 😀
Nat
The Operation Christmas Box Slippers pattern on ravelry says it was discontinued as well
Tamara Kelly
Thank you so much, Nat! I appreciate you letting me know!
