Above you can see two squares that she made, both featuring 3 colors. Below is my CAL square, in my 3 colors!
My Notes: I’m so excited Kim Guzman agreed to design a square for our crochet along on her new website, Make It Crochet! And she has created a lovely floral-inspired square that is super well-written and easy to follow. Do be sure to read the special stitches. Clusters and v stitches are “categories” of stitches – everyone is different!
Helpful Links and Tutorials: Standing Single Crochet, Standing Double Crochet, Chainless Starting Double Crochet, and Seamless Finishing.
Sizing: My square was coming out just a little bit big, so I used single crochet stitches for Rnd 12 instead of the double crochet stitches called for. But everyone’s gauge is different so be sure to measure as you go! Learn how to adjust for size HERE to make sure all your squares are the same size. Remember that the 12″ is measured across and up and down – not diagonally corner to corner.
What I Did: I used a Susan Bates US-J, 6.0 mm Twist and Lock hook, and Red Heart With Love, and my color scheme was as follows (see pics for more info on placement):
Rnd 1 – 3: Pewter
Rnd 4: Light Gray
Rnds 5 – 6: White
Rnds 7: Pewter
Rnd 8: White
Rnds 9 – 11: Light Gray
Rnd 12: White
This square required moderate blocking. I used the wet blocking method, or you could use light steam.

I have Norton and it is preventing my browser to go to this pattern. What can i do?
I was able to access the pattern by simply googling the web page “Make It Crochet.” So I have it.
Both her site and ours have had tech trouble this week, I believe all should be working on this end now, but unfortunately it can take some time for the fix to wing it’s way around the world. I’m glad you were able to get it!
