Most pets love treats - and most people love custom storage jars! In this quick Cricut craft, I'll show you how I used the Cricut Joy and a yard sale find to make a Pet Treat Jar upgrade!

I found this jar at a garage sale years and years ago. I loved the latch and good size, and for a long time it held our sugar supply! (And started a few jokes with that "snow" label!)
But after we adopted our dog Loki, the jar got switched to holding treats! I always said I'd make a new label for it... someday. And as soon as I got the Cricut Joy, I knew it was time!
So to make this 5 minute Cricut craft, I used the Cricut Joy, my smartphone (with the Cricut app), a Cricut Joy Pen, and a bit of Cricut Joy Smart Label.
And it really did take less than 5 minutes (and that's including taking the photos)! The Cricut Joy is so perfectly plug-in and go - so easy! I quickly found a fun font and a Cricut Access image of a balloon dog in the app.
Minutes later, I was ready to draw and cut! The app tells you when to switch from pen to cutting blade. And with the Joy, I didn't even need a cutting mat - the Smart Label doesn't need it!
And can we talk about the Cricut Joy Smart Label for a minute? This writable, permanent vinyl is the perfect medium for creating custom peel and stick labels.
Grab your roll of vinyl, a Cricut Joy pen, and the Cricut Joy, and label your whole house! The Joy is so portable it goes wherever you need it - it weighs just 3.9 lbs! I am going to need rolls and rolls of this stuff!
So in minutes, I had a new label for the jar - and lots of ideas for other things to add labels to, too!
When I first heard about the Cricut Joy, I didn't "get it" - but now I totally do! It's crazy easy to use, super portable, and perfect for some of the most popular types of Cricut projects. It draws and writes, and cuts vinyl, iron-ons, cardstock, and paper - up to 20 feet in one cut!
I hope that this peek at what the Cricut Joy can do inspires you too! You can get a Cricut Joy at Cricut.com, or on Amazon US. It's already become my go-to whenever I need a card to send or custom label made - and there are so many possibilities!
