I love this easier to do than I think think I'll make for myself what size is the plus 2 or 3 x love all your videos you explain everything very well how do you get the written instructions please email me thanks so much for sharing
Tamara Kelly
Thank you so much Pat! It's very much a "one size fits most" so this should be good to at least 5x or so - you can add a couple more rows to the sleeves if needed! 🙂
Dee Jeffery
How can I get the printed pattern?
Tamara Kelly
It's linked above along with the supplies, at https://www.mooglyblog.com/hygge-cocoon-cardigan/
Rachel
My local Joann’s and Michaels does not have Hygge yarn. So sad!! I picked up LB Scarfie since it’s so soft and I don’t have a problem with wool. Do you think this will have the same effect??
Tamara Kelly
Hi Rachel! What a bummer! I think it will be okay though. 🙂
Cheryl Heming
Hi Tamara, would this look OK without the sleeves or would it look unfinished?
Tamara Kelly
The sleeves are definitely optional! I'd add a round or two of sc just to finish the arm holes off and give them a nice edge though. 🙂
Cheryl Heming
Thank you Tamara, that's what I was hoping!
Jackie
I am XL to 1X and wondering if the plus might be too large? If it goes to 5x I afraid it will be too big. How oversized is it? Could I put a number of stitches shomewhere inbetween? I'm not that great at measurements.
Tamara Kelly
In your case I think I'd go with the Misses version. You can split the difference if you like though! 🙂
Jackie Self
Thank you!!!! I'm starting it right now and soooo excited it being my first sweater!!!
Tamara Kelly
😀 I hope you enjoy it!

Would Gradient yarns work for this pattern?
Tamara Kelly
I think that would be lovely!
Cheryl Heming
Tamara, did you block your cocoon when it was finished?
Brittany
Just wondering if there is a related link for a knit version of this. So beautiful!!!
Tamara Kelly

Hi There,
This will be my first time following one of your patterns/videos. A question, I am DEFINITELY a super small. I have no idea how to adjust the pattern. I would swim in a Misses size. Can you help?
Thank you
Tamara Kelly
Hi Lois! I'd start with the long chain method: https://www.mooglyblog.com/long-starting-chains-made-easy/
Make that chain the width of your favorite sweater, if it were laid out flat, from about mid forearm to mid forearm. Then work the rows until it's not quite square - just a couple inches short. 🙂

Hello Tamara,
I hope you are doing well. I want to share how of a great teacher you are. I as a beginner, found your video tutorial was understandable, easy and inspiring. It gave that, "Wow!" feeling of "I can do this!" I love the end result of my first sweater!
Thank you!!
Nancy

Tamara,
I love this pattern and have done great so far, but am stuck on the sleeves. They don't seem to be slimming down like in the photos. I'm crocheting a large one for my sister. Can you possibly guess at what I might be doing wrong. The fpdcs aren't as intuitive as they are in the first round and maybe I'm not doing that right. Thanks.
Tamara Kelly
Hi Jean! It sounds like your post stitches are a little looser than mine - switching to a smaller hook should help! 🙂
Chantal
J'ai enfin trouvé un chouette Tuto merci beaucoup...je ne suis pas une experte mais je vais essayer. Bonne continuation à vous et merci pour vos partages.
Tamara Kelly
Merci! ♥

Hi Tamara, I really like this pattern and want to make one for me and my sister. I've got some yarn from someone as a present, it is Charity double knit, 100% acrylic, and the preferred hook is 4mm. How mant stiches should I use to fit? I am a beginner, and this will be my first big project! I really do hope you can assist me!
Kind regards Jackie
Tamara Kelly
Hi Jackie, thank you! I don't know the exact number of stitches as I don't know your gauge, but luckily this is a very easy pattern to adapt. If you look at the schematic in the written pattern - https://www.mooglyblog.com/hygge-cocoon-cardigan/ - then you'll see the measurements for the rectangle you want to make. So you can use the long chain method - https://www.mooglyblog.com/long-starting-chains-made-easy/ - to make a chain that is just a bit longer than 40 or 44 inches (depending on which size you want to make). Then, work the first row into the chain as directed, and stop when it's the width desired. You can pull out the extra chains when you go to weave in your ends! 🙂
