The majority of the book is taken up with the 16 patterns, with a variety of difficulty levels. Everything from easy beginner dishcloths to an advanced multi-stitch blanket and an adorable baby sweater are included.

The patterns in Starter Guide to Tunisian Crochet include a market bag, scarf, hat, wrap, shawl, poncho, pillow, and more. And those patterns feature a variety of stitches! You'll learn to crochet Tunisian bobbles, cables, and even lace.

Tunisian crochet, formerly known as Afghan crochet, can be used to make just about anything you can knit or crochet. It's a skill that experienced crocheters can pick up in just minutes, and it's so fun to have a new way to stitch! Not enough stress in my life so I entered hoping to give it a go ( I'm an old dog at 72 years but I love to learn new tricks!) Thank you for the opportunity.

I have always wanted to learn Tunisian crochet, so this giveaway must be a sign!! I tried it years ago with a long crochet hook, but it made my wrist sore, so I gave it up. Then, over a year ago, I ordered a set of Tunisian crochet hooks that have the cable in place of the long shaft (hook sizes are interchangeable). But, without time to learn, I stored it away. NOW, I am retired and have more time to devote to hobbies. Please pick me so that I can get this venture started!!

Kitten WAW says
Mom started teaching me crochet starting when I was about 6, and at about 10 I discovered Tunisian. I asked Mom to show me, but she didn't know how. We got a pamphlet with basic instructions. Working together, we set about NOT being able to master it. I was full of youthful impatience and lacking in stick-to-it-iveism, and Mom wasn't that interested in it anyway as she already had crochet, broomstick lace, hairpin lace and tatting in her yarny tool chest. Neither of us ever made a serious effort again. So yes, I have tried Tunisian, and what I made was a mess. Fast forward decades ( I won't say how many) and I now have an adult's (HAH! That's a laugh!) patience, and "I WILL NOT LET THIS INANIMATE OBJECT DEFEAT ME" type of determination to try again. Thanks to you and your sponsors for the never-ending flow of generosity.
Patsy says
I haven't tried it yet, these patterns are amazing! Thanks 🙂
