This was one of the first yarns I purchased when I learned to crochet. I lived in a tiny town with no craft stores, but I could find this at Walmart. I've used it for hats and blankets and even a cardigan or two. I'd love to make something for my daughter to take with her to college this fall!

I can’t remember my first project with Caron Simply Soft but I do remember my largest. I used it for my 2022 temperature blanket. I made it with 12 granny squares with 31 rounds each. The colors, determined by the daily high temperatures, were so vibrant, the texture was soft, and it became a huge, beautiful weighted blanket.

Caron Simply Soft has been my go-to for years so I can't remember the first projects I created with it. However, my most memorable would be my 2022 temp blanket made with two-tone solid granny squares. It's nearly queen sized. I used 13 colors and each square represented the daily high and low. I absolutely love it.

      I'm currently working on a 2023 corner-to-corner blanket and a 2024 hexagon granny blanket.

This yarn is my go to favorite. Been using it since I started crocheting and knitting. Caron Simply Soft is a hooker stable. My very first project with it was actually learning how to crochet. My grandma made me chain till I couldn't see straight. My very first project on my own was knitting a comforter for my bed. I bought out Purple Plum in a 20 mile radius from my house in the 90's. I usually use this when I know it going to touch skin. So gloves, hats, footies, scarves, baklavas and what not. To win this world be amazing because I only buy when I am actually making something. To have some fun yarn would be amazing.

Back in the day, I used it to crochet baby booties for a humanitarian project - 100 pairs, a personal challenge! My most recent project with it is a llama and cactus C2C colorwork blanket, which I made in January 2024. It was my very first C2C, so I used an old friend - Caron Simply Soft - so at least one factor would be familiar! It turned out great, like everything I've used this yarn for.

I made 70 doilies with a heart design for my daughters bridal shower. It is a great yarn to work with. Thank you for the giveaway.

I used Caron Simply Soft a few years ago to make a baby blanket for my sister's baby. It turned out beautifully.

I have been using it for so long, my first project, I have to guess, was either a baby blanket or a scarf. Sorry it was over 35 years ago.

My first was so many years/projects ago but most likely it was a hat because for a while there everyone wanted one. But I've done quite a few blankets and other things with it as well. I love that it comes in so many colors. I like the variations of it as well, like the Tweeds and Party.

I made an Easter dress for my granddaughter with 4 pastel colors of Caron Simply Soft yarn many years ago. She still has the dress for a hand down to when she has children.
      Love working with this yarn!

I honestly can't remember if I've used it previously. That pattern for mesh vest looks interesting, so will probably go with that.

I made my first Tunisian crochet blanket with Caron Simply Soft. I still have it and it's one of the heaviest ones I own! Very warm and soft. Then I graduated to amigurumi. I LOVE this yarn for my animals. It's absolutely PERFECT!

I hadn’t crocheted in over 25 years, found out I was going to be an Aunt and this was my first choice in making baby Maddy a blanket scratch mitts and matching hat! Best softest yarn ever!

The first item I made with Caron Simply Soft was an afghan in the sweetheart ripple pattern, it turned out heavier than I thought it would be,but that was fine.

The first thing I made was a purple hat! I still have it, but it's worn out because it was made many years ago. I have several skeins of pink and purple that I plan to use to make a sweater. Thank you so much for the opportunity to win this beautiful yarn!

The first actual thing I ever made when learning to crochet was a little ball with eyes... An amigurumi. I used a bright blue shade of Caron Simply Soft that I had been given along with other yarn to start my crochet journey. It's one of my favorite yarns for making throw pillows and other decor because of its shine ❤️

      Thanks for the giveaway opportunity!

I'm wanting to learn to crochet and knit, so I would really like to make an afghan or couch throw. I think it would be so comforting to wrap up in a blanket that I made myself, especially if the yarn is nice and soft.
