There are 20 patterns total, broken into Brunch Buddies, Dinner Dudes, and Sweetie Pies.

As (almost) always, there is a section up front that goes over special stitches and supplies. This book focuses on the truly "special" stitches like mini bobble and invisible decrease, and assumes you bring basic crochet knowledge and stitches to the table.

These patterns feature 5 different skill levels, from Beginner to Advanced. The Sunny-Side Up Frog is an example of Level 1 - it's quick and easy, with less than 13 total rounds of stitching. The BLT-Rex is Level 5 - with lots more colors, pieces, stitching, and assembly.

Each pattern, at every skill level, includes great step by step photos to help you as you go. In addition to stuffing and safety eyes, you'll need a small amount of DK or worsted weight yarn for adding face details.

The main yarn used is Bernat Blanket, so they are soft, squishy, and you've got a lot of colors to choose from!

The patterns in Crochet Buffet are written in US terms, in "amigurumi style." By this I mean that they use an abbreviated terminology - you can see a sample below. Again, it's helpful to some crochet knowledge coming in, and a bit of amigurumi experience would be good too.

At the back of the book you'll find a thorough Index that will help you find any pattern or stitch you're searching for. But this book really is all about the patterns!
