Block #2:
Darla's Daisy

Above is her square, made in her 5 colors! Below is my square, in my 6 colors!
The Details
My Notes: Our second pattern of the year uses post stitches, like last time, but turns them into something very different! Don't be intimidated by the floral bits - it all makes sense if you trust the pattern. Linda does not make video tutorials for the patterns, but she has given me permission to go over the trickier bits in a video if needed - so if you get stuck, please do let me know!

Sizing: My square came to the right size as written. But everyone's gauge and tension level are different so be sure to measure as you go. Learn how to adjust for size HERE to make sure all your squares are the same size. Remember that the 12″ is measured across and up and down – not diagonally corner to corner.
What I Did: I used a Furls US-J, 6.0 mm hook, and Red Heart With Love, and my color scheme was as follows:
Rnd 1: Cornsilk
Rnd 2: Tigerlily
Rnd 3: White
Rnd 4-5: Lettuce
Rnd 6: Iced Aqua
Rnd 7: White
Rnd 8: Pewter
Row 9: Tigerlily
Row 10: Cornsilk
Row 11: Lettuce
Row 12: Iced Aqua
Row 13: Cornsilk
Row 14: Iced Aqua
Rnd 15: Pewter
This square required moderate blocking. I used the wet blocking method, or you could use light steam.

Mi ro
Would need a video on doing the flower. I have difficulty on this part. Appreciate it much.
Tamara Kelly
Hello Mi ro! I've added a video above! 🙂
Jackie
Thank you for the video on the flower. I found row 4 very confusing. I ended up redoing it 3times. The last part of the first side was very confusing to figure out but I think I figured it out.
Tamara Kelly
I'm so glad it helped! 🙂 The puzzle is part of it I think!
Marjorie Hummel
Any way we can get help for row 4?
Rebecca
Yes, please can you do a video for Round 4? Your video for Round 3 was super helpful!
Tamara Kelly
Hi Rebecca! I pointed out where to start Rnd 4, can you tell me where it's giving you trouble?
Rebecca
I think I figured it out as best I could. I didn't so much have trouble with where to start as I did with ensuring I was connecting stitches to the correct spots on the petals. Do you have any suggestions on what sort of an additional round I can add to this? Mine came out smaller than I think it should be.
Tamara Kelly
As a rule, if it's less than a half inch I do sc in the blo, if it's about an inch I do sc, if it's 3/4 of an inch I'll use hdc, and for more I'll do dc and then add another round too if needed! 🙂
