What am I doing talking about lotion bars on a crochet and knitting blog? Well, anyone who's yarned their way through a dry winter will tell you - dry hands are a real problem! So I'm excited to share a fantastic solution: Love + Leche Lotion Bars!
Crocheting or knitting in the winter is so delightful - cozy, homey, and relaxing. Until your cuticles and dry spots start rubbing on the yarn - ouch! It's not a fun feeling to have your project snagging on your fingers, but it's one I know all too well. I've even managed to split fingers open before!
I try to put lotion on every night in the winter, but too often it just isn't enough - but I don't want to get lotion on my project either. So when I came across Love + Leche Lotion Bars at TNNA this year, I had to stop by their booth and meet Daven Lee, the creator and owner!
Love + Leche Lotion Bars are perfect for knitters, crocheters, quilters, and crafters. They are all natural, and absorb quickly, as I discovered first hand! Super important when you're in the middle of a project! And they smell fantastic too, all aromatherapy yummy.
These lotion bars are handmade by a sweet family in Santa Fe, from local beeswax, locally grown organic calendula flowers, and are scented with only plant-based essential oils. You can watch their story on youTube! They are safe for not only your hands (and any other dry spots), but your lips too!
In addition to their gorgeous lotion bars, Love + Leche makes goat milk soap that gets fantastic reviews! All their molds were created with a local artist, and everything is as green as possible.
Since getting back from our meeting, I've been obsessed with the Lotion Bar in Cedarwood. It's gorgeous to look at, so pretty that I've been using the back of the bar to preserve its shape as long as possible. It smells wonderful, and absorbs incredibly fast, with no greasy residue - it's going to be a lifesaver this winter. Love + Leche has earned a place in my crochet kit for sure! You can order your own at LoveandLeche.com, with my recommendation!
And now I get to give some away - as hard as it is to part with! One winner will receive FOUR sample sizes bars, shown below, including Cedarwood, Lavender Rosemary, Citrus-Rose, and Lemongrass!

I have been putting lotion on my hands constantly lately, and my cuticles keep snagging my yarn. The lotion and hand creams I currently use just leave my hands too greasy and they just slide right off my hook. The lotion bars sound like the answer!! Thank you for the review and the wonderful giveaway!! I'm heading over to Love and Leche to check out their products 🙂

Those fragrances sound amazing. I love goats milk lotion, a local place near me sells some and it's just scrumptious on my skin, I gave a bunch of it to family for holiday gifts last year. 🙂 So, basically, I'd love this.
