I've been a big fan of Red Heart With Love for years - it's so super soft, and perfect for kid and pet-friendly home decor too! So I'm excited that they have added self-striping versions to the options - and I get to giveaway 8 skeins of Red Heart With Love Stripes here on Moogly!
Disclaimer: This giveaway was sponsored by Red Heart Yarns.
Red Heart With Love Stripes is 100% acrylic, a "4", Medium, or Worsted/Aran weight - that would be a 10-12 ply in the UK. It is incredibly soft, squishy, and lofty, and it's super easy to care for.
Red Heart With Love Stripes comes in 6 fabulous colorways that mix and match with the 50 (yes, 50!!) other solids and multis! The solids are all no-dye-lot too, which makes it even easier to plan a project. Each skein of With Love Stripes is 5 oz (141 g) and 223 yards (204 m), and the price point is fantastic too, making it a very affordable yarn for big projects like blankets.
I've made several blankets with Red Heart With Love over the years, and they have held up to my three kids, their friends, my dog, innumerable blanket forts and late night star-gazing sessions, my washer and dryer... and they look nearly good as new! And if anything, they've only gotten softer.
So I haven't had a chance to try Red Heart With Love Stripes just yet, but I've got some on the way and some fun ideas in mind for it! There are some free patterns already up on Red Heart to try though - and of course, and pattern using Red Heart With Love will work just as well with Red Heart With Love Stripes - and get a whole new fun look, or even easier color changes!
Here are some free Moogly patterns that I think this yarn would be super fun with too. Check out the Vintage Wobble Afghan in particular - talk about a HUGE time saver by using self-striping yarn! Other good ones to try it with include the Circle of Love Afghan and the Ombre Arrows Afghan.
You can buy Red Heart With Love Stripes right from RedHeart.com, and because we all need more yarn (of course!) you can enter to win 8 skeins of it right here on Moogly, courtesy of Red Heart Yarn, in your choice of colorways - just enter below!

Such beautiful color combinations!! I wish I could win this giveaway so I could make more colorful newborn beanies which I am donating to 2 hospitals in our area - the newborns need to keep their little heads warm and I am happy to give the babies something as colorful as what these yarn combinations would make. Wish me luck. I've donated 450 beanies to newborns in 1.5 years and have so much fun watching the color combinations yield such unusual one-of-a-kind beanies. Thank you.
Tamara Kelly
Good luck - and thank you for donating your time and efforts! ♥
