- You can use any yarn and hook to make this pattern – of course, you should use the same yarn and hook as you use for the letters you’re making. For the punctuation shown here, I used a US-F, 3.75mm hook and worsted weight kitchen cotton.

Edith
I think many of your followers live in European countries which use the Euro (€) as currency and have no affinity with the dollar. Would it be possible to make a Eurosign too?
Tamara Kelly
Good idea Edith, thank you! I’ll see what I can come up with!
Bianca
You should do Greek letters. My best friend’s name is Omega. I tried forever to finagle a Greek omega based on your other letters.
Tamara Kelly
Sounds challenging! 😀 I’ve added it to my to do list!
ERICA G
Thank you for this lovely addition to the alphabets! Can’t wait to make a complete set for my classroom! Would it be possible to create a pattern for the cent sign (I usually reach cents before dollars). Thanks!!
Tamara Kelly
Thank you Erica! For Cents, I would use the C from the lowercase alphabet and add the line as in the dollar sign. 😀
Lisa Schwartz
I love your addition of punctuation marks. While it would likely be a pain to do, I think the set would be improved by the addition of my favorite punctuation… the interrobang ‽
Tracy troy
Hello Tamara, I love your work, especially the punctuation and symbols! As a math teacher I was wondering if you could come up with a pattern for the pi symbol?
Tamara Kelly
Hi Tracy! I hope to do the entire Greek alphabet in the next month or so! 🙂
cathy Childress
Can you do music notes?
Tamara Kelly
Ooo, I like that idea! I’ll add it to the list, thank you Cathy!
Maria
Oooh, ! As I’m English I’d love a pound symbol ( £ ) please! Hope it’s do-able.
big thanks, in advance!
Oh, and maybe an asterisk ! **
Tamara Kelly
🙂 I have more coming!
Karen Snell
Hi Tamara…….
Did you ever manage to work out the British Pound Sterling symbol please?
Tamara Kelly
Hi Karen! The currency set is available! 🙂 Click here

No matter what I do, I am unable to get the pound/hashtag symbol right. Is this pattern correct? It always turns out wrong! I have spent nearly 2 hours making them and they never look right at all. 🙁
Tamara Kelly
I’m sorry you are having so much trouble! I haven’t had any problems with it, but it is tricky!
Pat
I am having trouble with the and sign
Pat
I am having trouble with the and sign amalso left handed can you do anything
For left hand people Thank You
Tamara Kelly
Hi Pat! This is a tough one, as I’m not left handed myself, but I will ponder it.
Chelsea Mae Gagnon
Row 7: Ch 1, sc 2, ch 2, sc 2 in opposite side of “c”; turn. (4 sts, 2 ch)
I’m really confused as to where “the opposite side of “c” is for the @ symbol. I can’t figure out where those 2 sc are supposed to go. I get up to the ch 2 and am lost as to if it means to “turn” or where those stitches go in. Please help. Thank you much.
Tamara Kelly
Hi Chelsea! It would be the other “end.” Okay, imagine that rather than a c, it’s a U – you are jumping from one top point across to the other. Does that help?
Aileen Miles Prather
Thanks for that final explain action of the @ symbol. That helped a lot!
Tamara Kelly
I’m so glad to hear it! ♥
Aileen Miles Prather
That was supposed to say explanation (😆)

My craft group is making a memorial flag for an Air Evac unit in Oklahoma. Thanks to you we are able to place their group name, unit number and location. Thank you for your hard work creating these patterns. Thanks also for making them free of charge. We are seniors who buy our own supplies and donate the flags.

Tammy OMG you are too kind!
You give give give and they keep asking for MORE and almost demanding it by making you feel bad!
Then to say they are English and want the British Currency -they could have said ALL currency or made their darn own! When we have countries doing bad things to ours-ugh OK but you are an amazing designer and I not only love your patterns but all your hard work you do on tutorials!
AMAZING GIRL~
