The Mountain Applique is perfect on the cover of the Adventure Travel Case – but it’s also great to add to any project you like! Made with all single crochets (and a couple slip stitches), this simple but effective pattern makes a great embellishment – or secret pocket!

This free crochet mountain applique pattern is worked from the bottom up, with simple decreases and skipped stitches creating the craggy mountain shape.
I used an H hook and Red Heart Scrubby Smoothie to make this applique because that’s what I was using for the project I was applying it to. You should use the hook and yarn that are appropriate for your project – just keep in mind, that may change the size.

I was trying to make it look like handwriting – apparently not as successfully as I’d hoped…

Ha ha, it had me puzzled, too. Thanks for this pattern! I have five little grandchildren I want to make this for! I will put their names on them, though! And maybe an applique of something particular that they like.

Yay! Thank you!
