
The Lower Linked Double Crochet stitch is a variation of linked double crochet that creates a different look than the standard stitch. I used it to create the Christmas Tree Door Basket - and I think it's got a great look! Here's how it's made, in right and left-handed video tutorials!

Written Instructions for the Lower Linked Double Crochet Stitch
LLDC - Lower Linked Double Crochet: Insert hook in left front loop in bottom half of previous stitch, insert hook in next st, pull up a loop, [yo and pull through 2 loops] twice.
To Begin a Row of LLDC, I recommend starting with either a Chainless Starting Double Crochet, or a Stacked Single Crochet.
