The Loopy Love Newborn Booties and Big(ger) Baby Booties have been on Moogly for a little while, and now I'm happy to say the Toddler sizes are available as well! Introducing the Loopy Love Toddler Booties - a free crochet pattern on Moogly!

Moving up to Toddler sizes, I've switched from Sport/Light (3) weight to Aran (4) weight. Another thing to consider is that at these sizes, the kids will actually be walking in them! So you may well wish to add some sort of non-slip action to the soles - I have a list of ideas HERE. To make them even more "walking ready", consider making 2 soles for each slipper, one with non slip stuff, and crocheting them together before you add the Upper portion!

these are so awesome!! Keep going! I would like to see adult size next. LOL!! Thank you so much for all you do. These are wonderful and should be a lot of fun to make. I'm part of the "Pink Slipper Project" and these will be great to make and donate.
Tamara Kelly
😀 Thank you so much MJ! They're on the agenda for sure!

I'm a big fan but am also a lefty so get confused with rights and lefts with conventional patterns. I am guessing that I must do the opposite of the instructions telling me to go left in this pattern?
Tamara Kelly
I think the only differences will be that the "left" sole is your right sole, and vice versa, and that you'll want to join to the right st at the back to add the upper. 🙂

Barb
Thank you so much for the toddler size. It's very hard tofind anything toddler size in shoes or slippers and I actually was going to start working on making my own but now I won't at least have to figure out the sole. I LOVE your patterns and have just about everyone of them . Sure could use more toddler/child ones in sandals or summer style shoes.
Tamara Kelly
😀 Thank you Barb! Now that I have the soles figured out I'll have to see what else I can make for the other seasons!
Betty Pritchard
I have twin great granddaughters on the way. I am going to try these. Thanks for the pattern.
Tamara Kelly
😀 Thank you Betty! And congratulations!!

REF.Loopy love booties.
I cannot understand what you mean by left of the most of the 2 heel stitches (or am I thick!!!)
Tamara Kelly
Hi Doris! If you look at the back or heel of the sole, there are two stitches in the center - the first two chains when you started the sole pattern. If you turn the sole around so that they are "up", you start with the one that's on the left. 🙂
Kathy Bartholomew
These are exactly what I have been looking for...love your patterns! You are so creative...
Question: have you done these is larger sizes? Kids, teens, adults? While at my arts and crafts shows, I am asked this quite frequently...this is the style I have been looking for.
Thanks
Tamara Kelly
Hi Kathy! Larger sizes aren't available yet, but I do plan on going all the way through adults. 🙂
Doris brookes
I told you I was thick, thank you so much from sunny Hastings England
