bphdc (back post half double crochet): Yo, insert hook from back to front to back around post of indicated st, yo, pull up a lp, yo, pull through all lps on hook.

Soles (make 2)
With CA, ch 12.
Rnd 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next 9 chs, 3 sc in last ch, working into bottom of ch, sc in next 9 sts, 2 sc in same ch as first st, join. (24 sts)
Rnd 2: Ch 1, 2 sc in first st, sc in next 9 sts, 2 sc in next 3 sts, sc in next 9 sts, 2 sc in last 2 sts, join. (30 sts)
Rnd 3: Ch 1, sc in first st, 2 sc in next st, sc in next 9 sts, (sc in next st, 2 sc in next st) 3 times, sc in next 9 sts, (sc in next st, 2 sc in next st) twice, join. (36 sts)
Rnd 4: Ch 1, 2 sc in first st, sc in next 11 sts, (2 sc in next st, sc in next 2 sts) twice, sc in next 11 sts, (2 sc in next st, sc in next 2 sts) twice, join. (42 sts)
Rnd 5: Ch 1, sc in first 3 sts, 2 sc in next st, sc in the next 12 sts, 2 sc in next st, (sc in next 3 sts, 2 sc in next st) twice, sc in next 12 sts, 2 sc in next st, sc in next 3 sts, 2 sc in last st, join and break A, place stitch marker in last st of Rnd. (48 sts)
Upper - Right Foot
Rnd 1: With CB, join to marked st of Sole from RS, ch 1, bphdc in each st around, join. (48 sts)
Rnd 2: Ch 1, hdc in each st around, join. (48 sts)
Rnd 3: Ch 1, hdc in first 12 sts, (dc2tog, dc in next st) 8 times, hdc in last 12 sts, join. (40 sts)
Rnd 4: Ch 1, hdc in first 12 sts, dc2tog 8 times, hdc in last 12 sts, join. (32 sts)
Rnd 5 (final edging and strap): Ch 1, sc in first 11 sts, ch 12, skip 4 chs closest to hook, sc in rem 8 chs, sc in last 21 sts, join and break B.
Upper - Left Foot
Rnd 1: With CB, join to marked st of Sole from RS, ch 1, bphdc in each st around, join. (48 sts)
Rnd 2: Ch 1, hdc in each st around, join. (48 sts)
Rnd 3: Ch 1, hdc in first 12 sts, (dc in next st, dc2tog) 8 times, hdc in last 12 sts, join. (40 sts)
Rnd 4: Ch 1, hdc in first 12 sts, dc2tog 8 times, hdc in last 12 sts, join. (32 sts)
Rnd 5 (final edging and strap): Ch 1, sc in first 23 sts, ch 12, skip 4 chs closest to hook, sc in rem 8 chs, sc in last 9 sts, join and break B.
Cherry Appliques
Stems (make 2)
With CA, ch 9, skip ch closest to hook, sc in next ch, hdc in next ch, sc in next ch, sl st in next ch, ch 5, skip ch closest to hook, sc in next ch, hdc in next ch, sc in next ch, sl st in next 2 chs, ch 3, break yarn leaving long tail for sewing.
Cherries (make 4)
With CC, make a magic circle, ch 1, work 6 sc in the ring, join and break yarn leaving a long tail for sewing.
Assembly
Step 1: Sew Stems to shoes as shown, using the long tail left at the end.
Step 2: Sew a pair of Cherries to each shoe as shown, using the long tail left on each.
Step 3: Sew a button to each shoe as shown, using color of choice (B shown).
Finishing: Weave in all ends.
