And here we are, ready to finish up the Winter 2015 Mini CAL here on Moogly! I hope you enjoyed making the first half of the pattern - and are ready for Part 2!
Part 2 is quite a bit faster than Part 1, and it's a great place to express your personal creativity! You divide the scarf into 3 (approximately) equal sections widthwise, and work 3 sections of different stitch patterns, for 14 inches each.
I've included a written pattern for each section, but you can go crazy here! Use your own stitch patterns, make the braid longer or shorter, really make it your own! I can't wait to see how yours turn out!
The there's just a simple edging, and sewing the ends together - and adding some fun buttons of course. Et voila! So let's get started! This link will take you to the pattern in it's entirety - so if you're seeing this post at some future date, past CAL time, this is still the link you want for the whole shebang!

I almost forgot to print the pattern before I left work. My printer is out of ink (teehee). I still have to finish part one, but I'm excited about part two!! Might make two more scarves later and give as Christmas gifts!

😀 I'm so glad you like it Sherika! I think it'll be great to see how many different looks people come up with!

Hi Tamara,
I'm making the cowl, is the second part for the cowl 14 inches as the scarf?
Tamara Kelly
Hello Nuccia! Yes, Part 2 is the same for both versions. 🙂

Where are people posting pics of finished cowls???

How wide should the scarf be? My tension seems to be too loose or something. When making the squares for the CAL they always end up being larger than they should. So I just wanna downsize my hook to proper size.
Tamara Kelly
About 10 inches wide. 🙂

Can you please do a short video on how to assemble the 3 section to the scarf? I can't seem to figure it out I don't know if it is because I've become fustrated with it or if it is due to working on the project for so long due to medical issues. Thank you in advance. The rest of the pattern was a breeze and I love it.

Hi Kely! If you know how to braid hair, it's the same thing - just a very short braid. Does that help at all?
Kely
Tamara,
Thanks for the reply I should have stated that I can braid the sections it is the final part of stitching it together. I have tired sevearl different ways and it doens't look right. Sorry to be a pain.

Kelly
