    Weekend Bucket Bag

Everybody loves weekends!  Picture it now... your comfiest jeans, favorite top, and heading out with a brand new bag you crocheted yourself - the Weekend Bucket Bag!

The Weekend Bucket Bag was inspired by Lion Brand's Jeans yarn - check out that front pocket! It's just the right size for most phones, and we all need a big pocket for those these days!

The base of the bag is reinforced with plastic canvas, which is a great item to use for crochet projects like this - you can cut it to any size, it's inexpensive, and it's washable! Here, it helps the Weekend Bucket Bag hold its shape, and makes the bottom of the bag that much stronger - so you can fill it up and head out for a weekend of fun!

    NOTES:

Yarn is held doubled throughout pattern unless otherwise noted- you can pull from both ends of one skein, or hold the yarn of two skeins together as you crochet.

The main portion of this pattern is worked in turned rounds - though you join at the end as in a round, you then turn to work back in the other direction as for rows. Using stitch markers in the first and last stitch of each round will help maintain stitch count. This creates a different look in the rows as well as a straight, invisible seam running up the side of the bag.

    INSTRUCTIONS:

Layer pieces so that plastic canvas is sandwiched between the two crocheted Base pieces, with the Right Side of each Base facing out.

Use stitch markers to secure evenly around the outside of the ovals, trapping the plastic canvas in the middle.

Round 30: Ch 1, sc in each st around; break yarn and join with seamless finish.

Handle Tabs: Make 2, with Color A
