Scented Orange Slice Ornaments
Add this pattern to your Ravelry Queue and Favorites
US - I, 5.5 mm crochet hook
Patons Classic Wool Roving (100% wool, 120 yds / 109 m, 3.5 oz/ 100 g, CYCA #5 bulky)
Color A: Yellow, 25 yds
Color B: Aran, 25 yds
Optional: Whole Cloves or Orange Essential Oil
Optional: Twine or Ornament Hook
Gauge: use whatever size hook gives you a tight fabric

Scented Orange Slice Ornaments Instructions
Make 2
Round 1: With Color A, make a magic circle, ch 1, 6 sc in the ring; close ring and join with sl st. Do not turn. (6 sc)
Round 2: Ch 1, 2 sc in each st around; join with sl st. Do not turn. (12 sc)
Round 3: Ch 1, *sc in next st, 2 sc in next st; repeat from * around; join with sl st. Do not turn. (18 sc)
Round 4: Ch 1, *sc in next 2 sts, 2 sc in next st; repeat from * around; change to Color B, join with sl st. Do not turn. (24 sc)
Round 5: Ch 1, *sc in next 3 sts, 2 sc in next st; repeat from * around; change to Color A, join with sl st and fasten off Color B. (30 sc)
Round 6: Loosely blo sl st in each st around; join with sl st and fasten off Color A.
Add Segment Lines
With Color B, surface crochet 6 lines from the center of the magic circle to the increases made in Round 5.
Assembly
With Color A and WS of the orange slices together, whip stitch through the blo of each pair of sts around. When nearly closed, stuff with whole cloves or your chosen filling. Close and weave in ends. Add a hanging loop using Color B, twine, or an ornament hook.
