It's time for Part 2 of the Ripley Shawl - the Moogly Fall 2019 Crochet Along pattern! It's made up of 3 iconic stitch patterns - the first was shells, and now, here are the instructions for Part 2!

I loved the complicated shells that made up part one - and at the same time, it's so great to relax with part 2! Part 2 is based on the granny stitch - another crochet classic!
Want to go big... big... bigger?
Made with Red Heart It's a Wrap Sprinkles, this shawl is a one-cake pattern. But you can make it bigger if you like, starting in this section - just add more rows! However, that will require purchasing a second cake, so do keep that in mind.

US-F, 3.75mm hook - Furls
615 yds Red Heart It’s A Wrap Sprinkles ("2" - Fine, UK: 5 ply; 5.29 oz/150 g/623 yds)
Colorway Shown: French Macaron - 1 cake
Gauge: First 6 rows of shell st = 7” along straight edge, 3.75” deep from center
18 sts x 13 rows = 4” in Granny Stitch
Size: 44” wide at top x 24” at center point

Pm - place stitch marker in st or ch sp just made
Part 2 Instructions
Row 23: Ch 1, sc in first st, [ch 3, skip 4 sts, sc in next st, ch 3, skip 4 sts, (tr, ch 1, tr) in next sc] 9 times, ch 3, skip 4 sts, (sc, ch 2, sc) in next st, [ch 3, skip 4 sts, (tr, ch 1, tr) in next sc, ch 3, skip 4 sts, sc in next st] 9 times, ch 3, skip 4 sts, sc in last st; turn. (22 sc, 36 tr)
Row 24: Ch 3 (counts as dc here and throughout), 2 dc in first st, [3 dc in next sc, 3 dc in next tr, 3 dc in next tr] 9 times, (3 dc, ch 2, pm, 3 dc) in next ch-2 sp, [3 dc in next tr, 3 dc in next tr, 3 dc in next sc] 9 times, 3 dc in last st; turn. (58 3-dc groups)
Move marker up to center ch-2 sp in each following row.
Row 25: Ch 3, 2 dc in first st, 3 dc between first and 2nd 3-dc groups,*3 dc between next 2 3-dc groups; rep from * to marked ch-2 sp, (3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in ch-2 sp, **3 dc between next 2 3-dc groups; rep from ** to end, 3 dc in the last st; turn. (60 3-dc groups)
Rows 26 - 38: Rep Row 25. (86 3-dc groups for 258 total dc)
Continue in pattern if desired for a larger finished shawl.
