Delicate Lace for All Season Accessorizing

This free scarf pattern is indeed quite lacy. Combined with cool the cotton yarn, this makes this scarf both elegant in looks and comfy as a favorite t-shirt!

Don't let it intimidate you though - only the most basic stitches are used. And the border is crocheted as you go!

I love this pattern! Thank you!

If I wanted to make a wider piece, can you tell me how many stitches are needed for the motif (X) and how many extra stitches are needed in the foundation chain (Y)?

      I need to know:

Multiples of X plus Y to make it the foundation chain the desired width. Thanks!

Hi Carol! Thank you so much! For this pattern, it's a multiple of 10, plus 6. 🙂

May I know what 10+ 6 means? I’m a beginner so these terms are foreign to me.

Hi Angelia! A stitch multiple of 10 plus 6 means that you start the pattern by chaining any multiple of 10 (eg: 20, 30, 40, 200, 5000, 10,320, etc) and then 6 more. That will give you the correct number of chains to then begin Row 1 and have the width desired. Does that make sense?

Do you block the scarf when finished?

Yes, I would recommend always blocking anything lacy or filet crochet! 🙂

Since this yarn seems to be discontinued, do you have a recommended substitute? Thanks!!

Hi Roxana! I always recommend using yarnsub.com - that will give you a list of substitutes, ranked best to not as close! 🙂 It lists the closest sub as Omega Rustica Eclat but I think Scheepjes Frosted Whirl and Yarnart Flowers Moonlight would be lovely! Really, you just need a Light Fingering weight yarn. 🙂
