Lion Brand Shawl in a Ball August Giveaway!

Published: Aug 14, 2017 by Tamara Kelly · 35 Comments

Lion Brand Shawl in a Ball is one of my favorite yarns - for shawls, and other projects! I've designed quite a few patterns in it, and it's quickly becoming a go-to yarn for other designers as well. So let's give some away as we enter the dog days of summer!

Win 5 balls of Lion Brand Shawl in a Ball on Moogly! Giveaway ends 8/28/17!Disclaimer: This giveaway was sponsored by Lion Brand.

Have you used Lion Brand Shawl in a Ball before? Each skein has about 481 yards of yarn, meaning it's perfect for 1-2 skein projects! I've designed several patterns with it - in addition to the most recent two - the Tango Shawl and the Opal Arrows Infinity Scarf - there's the Lotus Blossom Shawl; Amelia Shawl, Amara Shawl, and Winged Wrap.

Free crochet patterns on Mooglyblog.com - make each with just one skein of Lion Brand Shawl in a Ball!

Four free Moogly crochet patterns made with Lion Brand Shawl in a Ball!

Both the regular Shawl in a Ball and the metallics are so pretty - and each one is just a little different! So let's give 5 balls of it away - enough to make several projects!

The Lion Brand Shawl in a Ball August Giveaway is open to US and Canada addresses only (void where prohibited), and ends 8/28/17 at 12:15am Central US time. Lion Brand Yarn will ship the winner 5 balls of Shawl in a Ball yarn in the winner’s color choices. To enter, use the Rafflecopter form below. If you are on mobile and have difficulty entering, please use a desktop computer to enter. Only the email option is mandatory – all other tasks are optional, for bonus entries only.

So wonderful that we get to choose 5 colors! It's always so hard to impossible to choose just one, especially if you knit for people with very different tastes. This way I could please several friends - and myself.

I used Shawl in a Ball last a couple of months ago in one of my weaving projects , awesome outcome . I plan to complete a series on this weaving as tribute to my time spent in Northern Nevada Ruby Mountains . Shawl in the Ball, is Art for All.

Love this product so much, i recommended to a fellow shopper at Michael's , she brought 3 skeins .

I have purchased quite a few skeins of Shawl in a Ball. Although it says it is a #4 yarn, I would say it is more of a #3. My shawls, ponchos, and scarves turn out so very light and elegant with this yarn. I love it. My favorite is the metallic thread in Om Opal, but all are so beautiful. I sell my work and these are very popular.

I have never tried this yarn...but looking at the pictures in the associated link, it looks soooo soft, cuddly and warm.
This would be a lovely to use in a snuggly shawl or prayer blanket.

Thanks for offering this give away to us Canadians, too!

I just finished a scarf/shawl with the Restful Rainbow colorway. This was the first time using this yarn and it was such a joy to work with!! I only used about 3/4 of a skein and it is squishy soft!!
