So So Soft
The Hygge Cloud Hat is made with Red Heart Hygge. This yarn is soft, a little furry, and has an amazing feel and look. I love designing with it!
A Matching Set
After I made the Hygge Cloud Super Scarf, I got a bunch of requests for a matching hat! These two really are the perfect pair – great for gifting, or a little pampering for you!
The scarf features tassels made with the leftover bits of yarn – but just as they are optional, you have options with this hat! Make a matching tassel, a pretty yarn pom, or add a faux fur one as shown here – it’s up to you!
Easy and Quick to Crochet
Crocheted top-down, the Hygge Cloud Hat works up in just an evening or two and is sized to fit most teens/adults. Want to make a custom size? Just stop increasing when you’ve got the circumference you want and start working even!

When working into the skipped ch or st of the row below, be sure to enclose the ch-1 (see tutorial linked above if needed).
The ch 2 at the beginning of each rnd, does not count as a st, and is only a turning chain. If preferred, skip the ch 2 and replace the first dc of each rnd (when applicable) with a Chainless Starting Double Crochet.

Gina Painter
Hi! Love this hat. I’m down to making the brim. After each round, am I supposed to skip stitch and chain one? Pattern doesn’t say. Thanks!
Tamara Kelly
Hi Gina! Ch 1 at the beginning, but don’t skip a stitch. (But don’t stitch into the slip stitch either)
Lisa
