    Why Crochet Octopus Ornaments?

Okay, so this one doesn't really have a holiday connection. But this is Moogly! So I had to add a little octopus to the collection.

That said, I did do a little digging on the meaning or symbolism behind octopuses. And I found a lot of reasons to give a crochet Octopus ornament to someone special!

    • The octopus is often associated with intelligence, adaptability, intuition, and creativity.
    • Since they often can blend in or camouflage themselves, they can symbolize the importance of being adaptable and flexible.
    • Octopuses can regenerate lost limbs, so they can convey a message of resilience and healing, or bouncing back from adversity.

I knew there was a reason I loved these creatures! Do you know someone who could use a little celebrating or encouragement?

The Perfect Project for Bernat Maker Minis!

The Crochet Octopus Ornament uses only 20 yards of yarn! (Actually, a little less - I prefer to overestimate a bit.) So you can use it as a fantastic stash buster - and it's fun to see how it looks in different yarns!

I was surprised how easy this was to make and I made a few different ones with different colors and used them as tags on a couple of gifts I made for my friends.
